energize.am Consortium Launched

Naperville, Illinois — The international nonprofit consortium energize.am has been established to harness the power of additive manufacturing (AM) to drive energy efficiency, sustainability, and supply chain resilience on a global scale. By uniting experts across industries and markets, energize.am seeks to transform energy systems, reshore critical manufacturing, and reduce environmental impact.

In response to global geopolitical shifts and the growing need for energy security, energize.am brings together small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs), large corporations, and research institutions to build a collaborative network that addresses vulnerabilities in supply chains while promoting sustainable practices critical to the U.S. and its allies.

“With energize.am, we are creating a unified ecosystem that combines the agility of SMEs with the resources of larger companies to deliver innovative solutions for energy resilience, sustainability, and manufacturing security,” said Irma Gilbert, Co-Director of energize.am and CEO of Autentica Industrial Platform.

Key priorities for energize.am include:

  • Reshoring critical manufacturing to strengthen domestic supply chains.

  • Advancing AM technologies to promote decarbonization and sustainable energy practices.

  • Establishing industry standards for AM in energy and manufacturing applications.

  • Developing workforce skills to adopt AM technologies at scale.

Members of energize.am span the globe, including organizations from the U.S., U.K., Singapore, Brazil, and beyond, creating a powerful international platform for innovation and collaboration. Founding members include Autentica, 6K, Continuum Powders, Wayland Additive, Holdson Dynamic Electrochemical Solutions, Additive Manufacturing UK, the National Additive Manufacturing Innovation Cluster (NAMIC), Beyond Engineering Group, 3DPrint.com, and AM Research, among others.

The consortium’s work will be supported by government and private grants, with additional opportunities through licensing innovative platforms developed by its members. energize.am welcomes participation from SMEs, enterprises, and stakeholders committed to reshaping the future of energy and manufacturing.
